Paint Brush and Hammer Rice Krispies Treats

We made treats today for volunteers at a Community Makeover event that our church here in Atlanta does every year. Hundreds of volunteers get assigned to different locations around our community & they fix up peoples homes, schools, etc... Just helping anyone in need & we think it's wonderful!  We wanted to make something for the kids that are also helping out & thought that these Paint Brushes & Hammer Treats would be super cute!  We did however get assigned at the last minute to a location that involved people in need picking out clothes so the hammers & paint brushes might be a little confusing!ha  That's okay...I am sure they will get the point!:) We came up with the Hammer Treats, but the very talented Kim at The Celebration Shoppe came up with the Rice Krispies Paint Brush idea for the site Snackpicks.com that we also contribute to.

Hammer Treats

Kellogg's Chocolate pre-made Rice Krispies Treats
Pretzel Sticks (we like Syder's)

Start out by cutting the 2 bottom corners off using a round cookie cutter. Take those cut off pieces & shape to attach on the front & back to look like hammers. Everything will stick. Then press in a pretzel stick on the bottom...SO easy!

Here is a close up...

My boys thought these were awesome & they would also be a great treat to make for Father's Day!

Paint Brush Treats

Kellogg's premade Rice Krispies Treats
3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
1/2 Cup of Butter
2 Tb of Milk
1 tsp of Vanilla
Food Coloring
Popsicle Sticks

Press your sticks in the bottom of the rice krispies treat. Mix your frosting ingredients & separate in to 4 or 5 differed small bowls. Color the frosting & then spread on top.

These are so colorful & cute. Would also be fun for a art party!:)

Disney Frozen Elsa Pancakes for Breakfast

We created this fun Elsa Pancake Breakfast this morning. My boys helped with making her, but refused to eat her since she's a girl!ha  This is pretty easy to make & I bet your little Frozen fan will love this!

Elsa Pancake Breakfast

Pancake Mix (we like Bisquick)
2 Eggs
1 Marshmallow
Blue/Red Fruit Roll Up
2 Chocolate Chips
Mini Chocolate Chips

Start out by making a large pancake in a pan over low heat. Cut around the edges using kitchen scissors to shape the face. Beat 1 egg & 1 egg white.  Pour in a pan over low heat then flip it over like you are making a omelette. Cut pieces from the round egg to make the hair. Cut off the tips from a marshmallow for the eyes. Line mini chocolate chips above the eyes & for eye brows. Cut out a nose & ear from your pancake scraps. We used a red & blue fruit roll up to decorate....cut out with kitchen scissors.

Sunshine Snack and a Plum Organics Giveaway!

We are so excited today to offer your a Plum Organics Giveaway! We also created this fun Sunshine Snack that takes just a few minutes to make. Just another way to brighten up your little ones face during snack time.
My 3 year old loves Plum Organic products. He is such a picky eater! The Plum Organic pouches are the best way for me to get him to eat lots of fruits & veggies. He also adores the bars & Puff'ems.

I love how Plum Organics is promoting imagination. My boys are the kings of having big imaginations & I always love watching them pretend play. One of my favorite memories will always be watching them gather up items around the house for costumes & stand on the fire place for concerts as they lip sync to music. I have some of the best videos ever, but I am just going to save them for a nice viewing at their weddings!ha

My boys also love to play with their food of course & I love to watch their imaginations with what they create. My 3 year old helped make this fun Sunshine Snack & it's so cute!
